What I do.

I am an evidence-based practitioner.  This means that I stay up to date with what science is saying and mix that with experience, your needs and goals.  It is my aim for you to walk away understanding what and why we are doing what we decide to do.

I think many of us spend money on gym memberships we don’t use, a set of 10 x 5am boot camp classes that cost $200 and we went to one, supplement skinny teas that we read on Instagram would make us lose weight. 

An investment into your health and fitness goals such as seeing a nutritionist can help you make lifelong changes, give you education on what is actually true with all the confusing messages out there and equip you to continue you goals with confidence and ease.  It will be worth it; I will make sure of it.

What you won’t get from me ever.

  • A pushy sales women – I don’t sell any supplements or eBooks

  • Working out of my scope of practice – sometimes I may need to refer to you another healthcare professional depending on the situation.

  • A one plan fits all – your plan will be your plan only and there will not be any fad diets included.

  • Any kinds of bull shit – full transparency and I expect the same in return.

  • Bias – we all have them except I know that my preferred method works for me only.  I will find and advice the best method for you, we will work together on this.

  • A nutrition plan that is made just for you based on your goals and lifestyle.  We will work together to find the right strategy for you.

  • Access to recipes that are relevant for you, health tips, education resources, cheat sheets and articles I have written.

 

What to expect

  • You will be sent a pre-consultation form (before our appointment) with questions regarding your lifestyle, current nutrition and health.  This helps me prepare for the consultation so we can get the most for the time we have.

  • At the appointment we will go into the answers in a lot more detail.  This is vital so I can out together the right plan for you based on the information you will give me.  In this time, I can answer questions you have and offer some education around nutrition if needed.

  • I will then put together a plan within 48 hours of your appointment and email it to you along with helpful resources that I would think are helpful for your plan.  You will feel ready to start the journey towards your goals.

Why do I need a follow up?

 

This is advised at 2-4 weeks depending on the length of your goal.  It can be via skype/zoom or phone call depending on your preference.  It’s a check in to make sure the plan is working for you, to help you to stay on track and also make changes if we need to.

12 WEEK PLAN

A 90 minutes initial consultation  - as per consultation information.

1 week in check in – to make sure we are on the right track and we made the right decision with the best plan to suit your lifestyle, we need to make sure you are happy.

4-week 30-minute appointment – to check on progress, discuss how you are feeling for example are you hungry all the time, are you feeling tired.  We can make tweaks to the plan if needed

8-week 30 minutes check in – as in week 4 its likely we will need to make tweaks as your progress will change, we can implement new strategies if needed

12-week consultation – results day.  We will review your progress, check in if you are happy and what the next steps are. 
You will also have full access to me for questions along the way.  You will get a useful resources and recipes to help your journey.  You will have my full support and experience to guide you.
